This special offering will benefit our Rise & Build Capital Stewardship Campaign. iCommit t-shirts are available for sale in the Word Shoppe for $10, and when you purchase your iCommit t-shirt, all proceeds will also benefit Rise & Build. iCommit Sunday will be a casual Sunday, so everyone is encouraged to arrive to church wearing their iCommit t-shirts or other comfortable clothing and comfortable walking shoes. At the end of the service that day, we will caravan to the 80 acres for prayer and to march aroudn the land.

You will enjoy viewing original pieces of art created by our children which display their vision of what our new church facility will look like. Their masterpieces of art will be displayed throughout the church for the entire month of May.

Forget what you think you know about Senior Citizens because they are lively. They love to laugh and have fun. They are wise in the Word and they are on fire for Jesus Christ. Join Minister Al Andrews and the Tuesday Morning Bible Study Crew at 10:00am where all are welcome to attend.

The Friday Morning Women’s Teaching Seminar is a special time for the ladies to be replenished with sound Biblical teaching from your Host, Minister Donna Pickens. The Seminars are open to women within the community who have at least one hour to take for themselves. Join us every Friday morning at 10:00am in the Lorentsen Activity Center located across the street from the main church building.

On the 3rd Saturday of each month, our youth operate a recycling center in the parking lot of the church. The funds raised from this effort, are used to help send our youth to summer and winter camps throughout the year. We invite members of the community, to participate in this monthly youth activity.

Do you have a desire to make a difference in the Kingdom of God? If so, then we invite you to join the Soul Winning Ministry of AVCC on Saturday, Apr 17th and May 1st from 10:00am - 12:00noon for outreach and witnessing. To participate, please contact the church office.

The next New Member's Class will take place on Sunday, Apr 25th at 9:30am in the AVCC West Annex Conference Room. To become a member of AVCC you must attend this 2-hour class which instructs you on the basic understanding of our beliefs, goals, purpose and vision as members of the Body of Christ. The May menu for Angel Food is now available. To view it, simply click on the Angel Food button located to the left of the screen. Angel Food purchases can be made any Monday through Friday from 11:00am - 4:00pm, and on Sundays from 9:30am through the end of service (approx. 11:30am). The last day to order from the May 2010 menu is Sunday, May 9th.

We invite all young adults ages 18 - 35 to join us for Young Adults "Young and Unashamed" Bible Study every Tuesday at 7:30pm. Straight up teaching for God's Chosen Generation as taught by Pastor Tommy Pickens III.

Join the Chess Club, AVCC's newest Common Interest Group. We meet on the 4th Saturdays of each month from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. Chess is an exciting game of strategy, skill, math and discipline. If you're looking for a challenge in a fun family-friendly environment, the we hope to see you at our next meeting on April 24th.

The Women's Ministry of AVCC will partner with Crenshaw Christian Center for a Women's Conference, Aug 11th - 14th, at the Renaissance Esmerelda Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, CA. The title of the Retreat is "Fashion Week: Being the Designer of Your Destiny" an dyour retreat hosts will be Dr. Betty Price, Apostle Beverly "Bam" Crawford, and Minister Donna Pickens. The cost is $625 for a single occupancy room and $425 for a double occupancy room. An additional $20 fee for transportation will be applied if you use AVCC's Transportation Ministry to get to the retreat. The Music Ministry of AVCC is seeking an experienced drummer who is willing to donate their services for one of our weekly services. If you have drumming experience and would like to donate your skills and time, please contact the Church Office.
