Volunteer Supportive Ministry:

Involvement of every member in some facet of ministry according to his or her particular gifts and calling is encouraged. Contact the church office for more information regarding our Helps Ministries, auxiliaries, and various areas of volunteer service.

Men's Fellowship:

As part of the leadership of AVCC, we bring men together for fellowship and growth in the things of God. Through the AVCC Men’s Fellowship men are encouraged to mentor, support, acknowledge, and appreciate the responsibilities that we have been given through Christ Jesus. We enjoy fun activities which include sporting events, seminars, food, and most importantly, receiving the Word of God. God’s kingdom can never have enough good men who are willing to serve Him and to be served. If you are a male, 16 years of age or older, then we invite you to take part of the AVCC Men‘s Fellowship. We are real men in pursuit of excellence. Join us!

Seen Years Ministry:

The "Seniors Ministry" of Antelope Valley Christian Center has adopted the group name “Seen Years” because, simply put, we have seen quite a few years throughout our lifetime. And because of our ages, our experiences, and levels of wisdom, we also have learned to appreciate all of the best things in life that God has in store for us--His children. Seen Years promotes and encourages fellowship, growth, ministry, and fun. We are here to provide exciting opportunities and vital information important to those of us who remain young at heart. If you are 55 years of age or older, then Seen Years is definitely a ministry outlet you want to become a part of. Sign-up to join us, attend one of our meetings, venture with us on an excursion, and see the joy of the Lord spill over into good clean Christian fun that will keep you young at heart right along with the rest of us.

Gospel Grill Café:

The Gospel Grill provides an enjoyable eating environment where church members and visitors alike can establish relationships through fellowshipping with one another. The Gospel Grill Café is open before and after all Sunday Worship services and also during special services as needed. Join us for delicious cuisine and fellowship.

Hospitality:

We are the smiling faces that greet our visitors and members. We provide Welcome Packets which contain name tags, the Word of Victory Publication, weekly service bulletins, and other information offering insights about what we believe at AVCC. We even provide our first time visitors with a small gift to show how much we appreciate them taking the time to inquire about the Word of God through this local ministry. In addition, we perform follow-up telephone calls for individuals who have completed New Members Classes in order to set-up times when they can be officially welcomed into the AVCC family by our Pastor, his family, and the church Board of Directors. Hospitality is about comfort, kindness, humility, and servitude. If you believe that you possess these qualities, then consider joining our team.

Hostesses:

Our purpose is to greet everyone who attends services at Antelope Valley Christian Center. Duties include: greeting and assisting in the distribution and dissemination of information about church functions and activities and any area of helps ministry. We also provide scarves for the healing line and any ladies in need of them during church services, and assistance for our special speakers and guests.

Ushers:

The Ushers serve as the gatekeepers of the ministry. We provide for the smooth operation of the services held within the church. We are here to usher you to a seat in an orderly manner so that you can receive the Word of God as the anointing goes forth. We are a body of men who believe in Christ and in the power of His might. If you are an able bodied male who desires to get involved with the Ushers, then we’re waiting for you.

Media Department:

The Media Department introduces the gospel to over 250,000 homes each week. For individuals who don’t frequent a church and who may have never heard about the Gospel of Jesus Christ or even given their lives to Him, the Media Department provides a vital method of ministry. Through the use of cameras, digital and video editing equipment, and satellite technology, the Media Department acts as an extension of Antelope Valley Christian Center and the Word of Victory Ministries. If you are interested in becoming a camera operator, video editor, or voice-over performer for radio and television programming, then the Media Department is where you want to lend your support. Join Helps Ministry and sign-up to work in the AVCC Media Department where ministry and technology work together in blessed synchronicity.

Publications Department:

The Publications Department provides quality output products which serve to advertise AVCC Church services and activities. Many of our products are effective outreach and witnessing tools designed to help win the lost to Christ. Our meetings are based on project requirements and vary as the projects dictate. Examples of our output products include the Word of Victory Magazine, the Neighborhood Network Newsletter, overhead announcements used during Sunday morning services, and newspaper and community advertisements. The Publications Department is on fire for God and we’re looking for men and women with innovative thoughts and willing hands to join this exciting team and help spread the Word and love of Christ.

Tape Duplication Department:

The Tape Duplication Department is actually a subset of the Media Department and The Word Shoppe. This Department is responsible for the duplication and labeling of all audio cassettes, compact discs and video tapes for the various services held at Antelope Valley Christian Center. These services include Sunday morning worship services, Wednesday evening services, Friday Women’s Teaching Seminars, and various other seminars and conferences. We are also responsible for duplicating like products for the various AVCC Helps Ministry Auxiliaries. Tape Duplication services are provided before and after scheduled services. If you are interested in supporting AVCC behind the scenes with the reward of knowing that your efforts will be heard by people when they are driving in their cars, watching television at home, or working on their jobs, then join Tape Duplication.

The Word Shoppe Bookstore:

The Word Shoppe provides materials from various resources and ministries for the spiritual growth of all Christians ranging from newborns, toddlers, and new believers to seniors and mature Christians. Items available for purchase from the Word Shoppe include Bibles (KJV, NKJV, NIV, Amplified, and more), audio tapes, compact discs, videos, music by prominent Christian recording artists, toys, and clothing. In addition, we also feature home and office items such as calendars, checkbook covers, promise boxes, and plaques. The Word Shoppe is open before and after Sunday Worship services, special seminars and conferences. If you are interested in supporting the Word Shoppe then sign-up to lend a hand. Foreign Mission:

The Foreign Missions Ministry was designed out of a need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a dying world. Taking ministry beyond the borders of the church and out into foreign lands where the price, value, and appreciation of God’s Word is so great, is an important responsibility that we in the Foreign Missions Ministry are proud to uphold. Our goal is to help train and equip individuals to travel to other nations and spread the gospel. If you have a passion to minister the Word of God to eager minds in foreign lands, then the Foreign Missions Ministry is for you. Join this dynamic ministry team--your life will be changed.

Music Ministry:

The Music Ministry is here to lead people into the throne room of God. We help to lift up the name of Jesus and to usher in the Holy Spirit through song and music. Our primary goal is to let others know that they are indeed loved by God. No matter what a person does, and no matter what a person may be going through, we are here to tell them that Jesus is alive and that there is power in praise because when the praises go up, the blessings come down. If you have a trained singing voice, or if you don’t; if you can hold a singing note, or if you can’t, join the Music Ministry. Your voice is an instrument to be used for God’s glory. Through time, training, and prayer, you will learn to tune your instrument to be the best that it can be for Christ.

Dance of Praise Ministry:

When King David returned the ark of the covenant to Israel, he danced with sheer exhilaration and joy for the Lord. AVCC’s Dance Ministry was established to usher individuals into the presence of the Lord. Through anointed praise dance, mime, dramatic interpretive dance, and hip hop, we minister the Word of God to all who will see and share in the experience. In everything we do, the Dance Ministry has fun because our ultimate goal is to help lead the lost to Christ. If you have the gift of dance and would like to minister to others, then join us.

Drama Ministry:

To proclaim the goodness of God, to exalt the name of Jesus and glorify God through dramatic plays, skits, and musicals. The objective is through the drama ministry that Christ will be seen and as a result will lead individuals into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Drama ministry will function as an evangelistic outreach in winning the lost. Dramatic plays will include our annual Children’s Christmas drama, the Resurrection Day drama, and many other dramatic plays and skits throughout the year.
